Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa

On Friday morning, my dad, Tommy, Grace and I headed to my parents house to spend the weekend with them. That night, my dad fried some fish and then we just hung out around the house. My mom ended up watching Grace that night so I could get some sleep (since I had HUGE bags under my eyes).

Saturday, all my aunts came over to meet Grace and see Tommy. Tommy pretty much stuck to his grandpa all day. They went to get donuts that morning, Lowe's and Tommy even helped him mow the front yard. :)

Tom had to work and didn't make it to my parents house until a little after 5 that afternoon. We hung out with my parents for a while and then headed to Shreveport to do a little gambling (and won money - yea!). We got home around 1:00 and my mom said she would keep Grace again since she doesn't get to see her that much. It was nice getting another night of sleep since it's happened so rarely lately. Thanks mom and dad!

Grace's Two Week Appointment

Yesterday, the four of us went to Grace's 2 Week check-up.

I think Tommy was excited because he didn't have to get any shots, but Grace definitely didn't enjoy the foot prick! She screamed for a little while especially since the nurse couldn't get enough blood out of her heel to fill those 5 stupid dots (they had the same problem with Tommy at his 2 week appointment too).

The doctor said she looks great and all her stats are average:
Weight - 8 lbs. 6.5 oz. (50%)
Height - 20 1/2 in. (56%)
Head - 14 1/4 (54%)

Look at this cute little girl!

Tommy had fun in the doctor's chair. (oh - he had to wear his jersey)

When we first brought Grace home from the hospital, she wouldn't really sleep much at night. She's gotten better - the only problem is that she doesn't really like to sleep in the pack n play, but she will sleep for hours on my pillow. Yikes! I don't really know what to do. I still try to put her in the pack n play, but she wakes up not 5 minutes later. Guess I will just have to keep trying!

Tommy & Eli

Yesterday afternoon, Jocelyn (my best friend from college) and her son Eli came up for a visit.

Tommy and Eli had fun playing, both in the house and outside while Tom was grilling steaks. I think all that playing wore Tommy out, because when we changed him into his jammies we usually sit down in his room to read and throw a football around. He probably sat down for a minute or so before walking over to his bed and letting us know that he was ready for bed. :)

After putting the boys to bed, Jocelyn and I sat around talking (Tom was watching basketball outside) for a while before heading to bed.

Thanks for coming up to visit guys!

Thanks Aunt Christine!

On Wednesday morning, my helper Christine left to go back to Nashville.

After my parents left on Tuesday of last week, Christine came on Thursday and was a huge help with both kids even keeping Grace a few nights so Tom and I could get some sleep. I think she even got Grace hooked on QVC - which both Grandma's will love.

I was bad about taking pictures and only got a few good ones of her with the kids and a couple of cute ones of Tommy...

1st Weekend at Home with Both Kids

Well, Tom and I survived our first weekend at home with both kids and it wasn't that bad (Christine was a big help).

On Friday night, I ran up to our church to get some fish from the fish fry (yum) and then we just stayed around the house the rest of the night.

Saturday, Christine and I hung out with both kids and then drove down to the park to let Tommy play and let Grace get some fresh air. Once Tom got home from work, we all went up to Cheesecake Amour to enjoy some wine and cheesecake. That night we ordered pizza and sat out on the patio.

On Sunday, we stayed around the house most of the day. Christine and I did run to the outlet mall and Target. I made enchilada's for dinner and then we watched Sex and the City while Tom worked. Christine did keep Grace last night (since she doesn't have her days and nights mixed up) so Tom and I could get some sleep - thanks Aunt Christine!
