3 Month Pictures

On Sunday we took Tommy to have his 3 month pictures taken. He did great until the end (he was getting sleepy).

We went with a Halloween theme this time and he looked super cute in his Penguin costume!

Growing Up

I can't believe that my little guy is 3 months old! These last couple days it's been a little cooler outside, so I've been dressing him in pants (as opposed to just a onesie). Well, today's outfit made him truly look like a little boy (a VERY CUTE little boy).

Tonight, while the 3 of us were sitting outside and little man was in his bouncy seat - he actually grabbed and held on to one of the toys!

Big Boy

The last 2 days we have tried using a couple more of the toys that Little Man has.

Yesterday, we let him sit in the bumbo for the first time. He did great - and he was really focused on the Steelers game. It was so cute!

Today we tried the jumperoo. He was mesmerized by all the toys on the contraption. He did a great job of sitting up and holding his head up

Tommy's Baptism

Yesterday was a big day for little man...He was baptised at our church (St. Gabriel's). He did great during the ceremony and only cried for a few seconds throughout the whole mass. He wore a traditional Christening gown that has been passed down through Tom's side of the family and is about 35 years old. I'm so proud of our happy little guy!

After the baptism, we had a little (well about 30 people) get-together at our house. It was so nice seeing all our family and friends and Tommy got a lot of really nice gifts from everyone. Grandma Rennie made lots of yummy food (a little too much - as we will probably have leftovers for the rest of the week :)).

I'm so glad and thankful that so many family and friends were able to share in this special day for our Little Man.

Grapefest 2009

We have this annual tradition with our friends the Pike's to do the wine tasting event at Grapefest (we've gone the last 4 years). It's so much fun!

This year we continued the tradition and had a few more people go with us. Tom's parents (Tim and Diana) and his sister & husband (Christine and Eddie) along with Michelle's brother (Mike) joined us. It was fun going with a bigger group (more babysitters).

After the wine tasting on Friday night, we walked around and had some of the "healthy" food offered (Sausage on a Stick & Funnel Cake) and let the boys go into the "Cougar" bar before heading back to the front to meet up with Tom's family.

I love Grapefest!!

Date Day

Yesterday, I took Little Man to see his grandma and grandpa so Tom and I could spend some time together.

We drove down to Winstar for a little gambling and then went to Isabella's (a lovely Italian restaurant in Frisco) for dinner. It was really nice hanging out together (even though we both missed the baby) - and I think all couples with babies should take the time to do things by themselves - it's good for the relationship.

Here we go Steeler's!

Well, Little Man watched his team get the first win of the season in overtime tonight. Other than spitting up all over mommy's jersey (and shorts) in the 3rd quarter I would say he enjoyed watching the game. Go Steelers!

Labor Day Weekend

I love 3 day weekends! On Saturday, the three of us went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was beautiful and I loved looking at all the flowers. We have been there one other time (to take a few wedding pictures), but we didn't truly get to enjoy it. I will say - it was a lot hotter than we expected, so we cut our viewing short. To cool off, we stopped by Landon Winery in downtown McKinney on the way home. Yum!

Last night, we met our neighbors at the Fillmore Pub in downtown Plano for dinner and drinks. It was a very neat place with a ton of different beers and ciders. I tried the Ace Pear Cider (good) and a drink called a Snakebite - which is Ace Pear Cider and Harp mixed together (even better). Fun times...

The Draft

Tonight, the 3 of us met some friends at Fox & Hound for a draft party. We had a good time, but for some reason Tom must not trust my judgement (I wanted to pick a Steeler's player for each position - ha ha), because he only let me pick 2 or 3 of the BENCH players. He's probably going to go trade those later on and just wanted me to feel like I was contributing to our team.

Oh, and just in case anyone wanted to go to Fox and Hound with their baby - be advised that they DO NOT have a changing table in the bathrooms. Hmm...I wonder if they are trying to send a message?

Little Man was good most of the time and he had a chance to hang out with Liz (she's due in early December) - his friend from softball who loves to hold him.
