Tommy's 7th Birthday

This year, Tommy wanted to have his birthday party at Altimate Air (a trampoline park close to my work). We had the party on Sunday, June 12th.

He wanted a Pirates theme this year. I had our cake lady make a Pirates cake and Baseball cookies for everyone that attended. I had the cookie, along with some baseball cards, tattoos and big league chew in the favor bag.

He has so much fun playing with his friends. Tom and I even got out there and jumped with the kids in between talking with all the parents.

We didn't let Tommy open the presents from us intil until the 19th. He was so happy to get the Lego set that he has been talking about for months. He spent most of the day putting it together.

On Tommy's actual birthday (22nd), we went to the Pirates game. He wanted to tailgate before hand - so that's what we did!

I can't believe that my baby is already 7 years old. We love you so much bud and hope you enjoyed your "birthday week."

Tommy's Kindergarten Graduation

Tom and I both took the day off (May 27th) to go to Tommy's Kindergarten Graduation (and then meet Grace at her school field trip).

1st day vs. last day

They had a little reception for the kids and their families before the program.

After the reception, the adults went into the gym for the program. It was very cute. I think they sang about 10 or 11 songs and then the teacher introduced them one at a time.

He was so handsome (and grown up) on the stage.

We were so proud of him!

Sports & Crafts

May was a busy month with sports for Tommy (baseball & soccer) & Grace (gymnastics).

Tommy got the game ball on May 11th

He looked so cute in his soccer picture

I love that Grace can keep herself busy. She will go up to the office and make little books or cut up paper and make a game with the pieces.

Canada Trip

The first weekend of May, we headed up to Canada for our post-tax season trip (and Tommy was out of school).

Tom picked me up from work on Thursday night and we drove the 3 1/2 hours to Niagara Falls. We got there pretty late Thursday night (around 10) and our hotel was prefect. The room had a view of the American and Canadian Falls.

Friday, we had breakfast at the hotel and then drove over to the Fallsview Indoor Water Park. It was so much fun and since it was a school day, the place wasn't crowded at all. I don't know who had more fun--us or the kids. Tom and I went on quite a few water slides and I even convinced Tommy to go with me 3 times.

Tommy also lost a tooth while we were in the wave pool! The tooth had been loose, but one of the waves hit the tube just right and Tommy bumped his face on the tube and knocked the tooth out.

Friday night, we had dinner at The Keg restaurant in our hotel and then spent the rest of the night in the hotel.

We even got to see fireworks Friday night

Saturday, we had breakfast and then walked to Clifton Hill. I had purchased passes online, so we got to do quite a few things (mini-golf, 3D roller coaster, museum, etc.) Tommy even had a wax hand made (Ironman).

3-D Roller Coaster

We played some games at the Midway (I thought this mini Skee Ball was so cute)

We did get some bar-b-que that this cute little restaurant. It reminded me of Texas - how the inside was decorated.

Sometimes you just need a beer.

After stopping at a few more places, we walked back to the hotel alongside the falls. It was so pretty (and a little chilly) and rode the incline back up to our hotel.

Tommy and I took a little rest

We drove home Sunday morning and since it was mother's day, I convinced Tom to stop at the outlet malls so I could do a little shopping.

We stopped at the duty free store and Grace got some Kit Kats

It was such a fun trip that on the way home the kids were asking when we could go back.
