Driving in the Jumperoo

Tonight, Tommy was having so much fun in his jumperoo! Tom said that it looked like he was driving - and it was true!

Tommy's 1st Christmas

On Thursday afternoon, we left to spend Christmas with my family in Northeast Texas. My family always opens our gifts on Christmas Eve so once we got there and unloaded everything we opened presents. We all received a lot of nice things and Tommy stocked up on toys and clothes (he even helped open a few of his gifts). The family came over for a small get together before heading to midnight mass (at 10 pm).

The next morning, we woke up to see what Santa left. Tommy got more toys that he played with before we went over to my aunt's house for Christmas gift and the family gift exchange. It was a lot of fun and Tommy played (well just kind of looked at) his older cousin who was born in April.

That night, Tom and I went to the movies with my cousin Christina and her fiance Aaron (it's an annual tradition) to see Up In the Air. It was a really good movie!

Saturday morning, my mom and I got up early to go shopping. I managed to stock up on a few more Christmas decorations and wrapping supplies. We met Tom for lunch before he went to play golf and then spent the rest of the night hanging out with family.

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and I'm so glad Tommy had a great 1st Christmas!!!!

Tommy Rolling Over

I finally got a video of Tommy rolling over. It was hard because everytime he saw the camera he just wanted to talk to it and laugh. :)

2009 Cowboys Christmas Party

Last night, Grandpa babysat LT so Tom and I could go to my work Christmas party at the new stadium. You are probably wondering why it would be on a Monday night, well - it's because the players get Tuesdays off so we do it around their schedule.

The party was great! Tom and I arrived around 7:00 and grabbed a prime table close to the front, which ended up being a good choice because the players ended up hanging out in the section by our table the entire night. The food was as wonderful as always and they had quite a few bars for us to choose from. We had so much fun talking to everyone and hanging out (and of course drinking :)). We did end up leaving an hour later than we planned and didn't get home until midnight!

Another cool thing was that Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl was a guest of Miles Austin and was hanging out close to our table all night. I did manage to get a picture (not a good one) of him and I did get a picture with Stephen McGee (our backup quarterback) who is really nice.

Fun night!!!

6 Months Old!!!

I can't believe how fast time flies! Tommy will be 6 Months old on Tuesday, so we took him to get his 6 Month pictures taken today. Each month, I have a hard time narrowing down which pictures to get and this month wasn't any different. I wanted to get one of everything! Tommy is such a happy baby and he looks so handsome in all his pictures....

I also wanted to mention some of my favorite things about Tommy:
  • His huge smile for me when I wake him up in the mornings (thank goodness he isn't a grouch like his daddy :)
  • His jibber-jabber all the time - he loves talking and gets a serious look on his face when he does it
  • How excited he gets in the jumperoo
  • When he pulls his pacie out of his mouth and puts it in backwards (and gets mad about it)
  • How excited he gets when he sees his bottle
  • How he flirts with ladies everywhere we go (he gets the biggest smile on his face)
  • How he lets me kiss on him as much as I want to - and actually seems to like it
  • Seeing how much he enjoys getting his bath
  • Watching him roll over
  • The fact that he is such a happy baby and is rarely in a bad mood
I love that Little Man so much!!!

Christmas with Great Grandma

Last night, the three of us went to celebrate Christmas with Tommy's Great Grandma. Before opening presents, we all went out to dinner at Bari's (an Italian restaurant in Flower Mound). It was really nice - especially since it wasn't crowded like it normally is - probably since the Cowboys game was on.

Once we got back to Grandma's house we opened our gifts. Tommy got a nice sports outfit and we got this cute Christmas dish with a spreader. We ended up getting Grandma a flag with her initial on it to display in the front yard.

Tommy started getting pretty fussy around 10:00 (it was way past his bedtime) so we had to leave a little earlier than we wanted. I think he enjoyed spending time with his Great Grandma though!

Byron's Graduation

On Thursday night, we met Byron, Michelle, Madison and their families for a dinner to celebrate Byron graduating from UNT with his doctorate (and masters) the following night.

We had a lot of fun hanging out at dinner and watching him open his gifts. He got a lot of nice things - including a Wii (from his wife) and a Wii game (from us). We were there for a while just talking and catching up.

Friday night, Tom, Tommy and I headed to UNT (I hadn't been there in years) for his graduation ceremony. It was nice (and short). We took pictures afterwards and then headed across the street for the reception. The food and drinks were yummy! We stayed there until 10:00, which was when they needed to leave so they could go finish packing up for the trip back to Minnesota the next day.
