Tommy loves to sing and dance and I happened to take 2 VERY CUTE videos of him "singing" the ABC song.

Christmas with the Rennie's

This year for Christmas, Tom's family game down to celebrate with us at our house. We had a great time, but it went by way to fast.

On Christmas Eve, I put a roast in the crock pot and we hung out around the house until 4:00 mass. It was so crowded, but we managed to get 6 seats in the back row, so Tommy could run around in the back if he wanted to. Once we got home, we ate dinner and then watched some sports on TV. Christine managed to talk everyone into opening 1 present that night before bed. :)

Christmas morning, we got up and piddled around the house for a while before opening our presents. We did keep up the tradition of drinking mimosa's during the opening process.

Tommy got a lot of nice things (so did everyone else), our mistake was in letting him open a guitar first, because after that - he had no interest in opening anything else. Haha! After opening all our presents Tom and Eddie fried a turkey outside and I made the rest of the food inside. I think we sat down to dinner around 3:00. That night Tom's parents, Tom and I went to the casino, while Uncle Eddie and Aunt Christine babysat Tommy for us. We ended up winning at the end, but Tom's mom was the big winner of the night!

Sunday, the girls and Eddie did some after Christmas shopping and Tom and Pap watched Tommy. Tommy's great-grandma ended up coming over to visit along with his Great-Aunt Sue and Uncle Jim came over. That night the 7 of us went out to dinner at this little Mexican restaurant by our house.

The only bad thing about the weekend is that Tommy got pink eye yesterday! Poor baby....

Tommy's 18 Month Check-Up

Last Tuesday (yes I'm behind on blogging), Tom and I took Tommy in for his 18 month check-up. Other than his having a little cold - the doctor said that Tommy is doing great.

Here are the stats from the appointment:
  • Weight - 28 lb. 6 oz. (80% percentile)
  • Height - 32 inches (41% percentile)
  • Head - 19 3/8 inches (85% percentile)
Tommy is doing a ton of things at 18 months - here are a few of my favorite:
  • He repeats a lot of the words we say and his speech is very clear
  • He shakes his head and says "no" when he doesn't want something - so cute!
  • He loves watching Elmo's World in our bedroom and will bring us a remote every day when we get home from daycare so we will put it on for him
  • He's still doing a lot of sign language
  • Loves singing the songs he knows (I'll post his "ABC Song" video later)
  • He still loves giving hugs and kisses

Christmas Parties 2010 Edition

We had a very busy week with Christmas Parties!

On Monday night, our neighbor Tina came over to babysit Tommy so Tom and I could head to Cowboys Stadium for my Christmas party. We had a lot of fun and we both enjoyed the Macaroni Bar (it's like a truffle macaroni that you can add toppings to). We pretty much just talked to our co-workers while stuffing our faces (me more-so than Tom). I think we ended up leaving a little after 10:00 and got home right around 11:00 to relieve Tina and Chelsea.

 I loved the centerpieces

On Friday, Tom and I left work early so we could enjoy Tommy's holiday party with him at his daycare (I made Rice Krispie treats). He was so excited to see us when we walked in. He's still a little bit picky and only ate the Rice Krispie Treat, fruit and crackers - he left the cookie and the cubed cheese on the plate.

Handing me his cookie (I guess he knows how much I like them)

Daddy's lap was more comfortable than the chair!

Look at all his teeth..

 Done!

On Friday night, my dad babysat Tommy so Tom and I could head to Stonebridge Country Club for Tom's work party. It was a lot of fun and the dinner was really good! After dinner we did the gift exchange (we ended up with cash/coins and a coon hat - it was a "c" theme) and then the poker started. Of course, Tom was at the Craps table all night and I stayed at the Texas Hold 'Em table. I ended up winning big on the last 2 hands. Woo-hoo! We didn't win any of the raffle prizes with our tickets though - so that was a bummer. I think we got home a little after 11:00 that night.

December 2010 Playdate with Charlie

On Saturday, Chris, Chuck and Charlie came over so the adults could hang out and the kiddos could play.

It was so fun watching the boys play together. They would chase each other through the house and when they would catch up with each other they would just stand there and laugh.

They both thought they were big boys sitting on the fireplace.

At dinner, we put Tommy and Charlie in high chairs right next to each other and they would both hand each other food from their plates. Cute!!!

Also, Tommy was being such a copy cat. Anytime Charlie would fall or run in to something, Tommy would do the exact same thing.

I think the boys had a great time playing together and we can't wait to see them again.

3D/4D Ultrasound of Baby Grace

On Saturday, Tom, Tommy and I went to Stork Vision for a 3D/4D Ultrasound of Baby Grace. We didn't get a ton of pictures because she kept her hands and feet in front of her face, but we did have a chance to confirm that Grace is still a she - and not a he!

Just to compare - I'm putting a picture of Tommy's 3D Ultrasound...the only thing that looks the same to me are the noses.

The Rennie Family Christmas Tree

Tonight, Tom, Tommy and I went to pick out our Christmas tree at a locally grown lot (we have to support the community), plus it's the same place that we've gone the last 2 years.

I figured it would take a while to pick out our tree, but I want to say I found a beautiful Frasier Fur tree within the first 10 minutes we were there. The guy working there was very helpful!

While Tom was paying and helping the guys get it loaded, Tommy and I rode the little train they had there around the lot. Tommy loved it - and didn't seem to mind the cold. I think it was 50 degrees outside, but the wind made it feel a lot colder. Brr!

Yea! We are all looking at the camera.
