Kylee Ann is Here

Today at around 12:30, my sister gave birth to her little girl, Kylee Ann.

She weighed 6 lb. 15 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. We can't wait to meet her.

Playing like a big boy

On Saturday afternoon, the three of us went over to Chris, Chuck and Charlie's house so the boys could have a playdate (and the grown ups could hang out).

Tommy and Charlie were so cute when they saw each other and they had a great time playing and chasing each other around the house. I took a few pictures to document their time together..

They "shook" hands when they saw each other

Tommy wanted us to push him around the house in the wagon

And of course, got into something they shouldn't have

Baby Steps

This week, Tommy started taking a few steps (at daycare they said he has been taking 10-15 in a row). Woo-hoo - looks like our little boy is going to be mobile soon!

Beaches, Birthday and Baby Tommy

Last Friday, the three of us left for the annual Rennie family vacation in Florida (this year it was Seagrove Beach).

Tom and Tommy picked me up from work on Friday afternoon and made it all the way to Baton Rouge, LA around 9:45 that night. Let's just say that Tommy LOVED staying in the hotel and we couldn't get him to settle down enough to go to bed until 11:30!

After eating breakfast at the hotel, we left and made it to Seagrove Beach a little after 3:00. We unpacked, made a grocery store run and ordered in pizza before Grammy blew out her cupcake candle and opened her presents. Tom and I got her The Pioneer Woman cookbook, but she was most excited about her new laptop computer. :)

We had a great time and loved having the option of going into the pool on the days that the seaweed was really bad. There were a couple of stormy days (Sunday, Wednesday and Friday), but we still got in a lot of beach and pool time.

Tommy is definitely an outdoor baby. He loved going outside and really enjoyed sitting beachside, but hated any part of his body touching the sand (must have been the texture).

On the way home, Tommy wanted to take his turn at driving..

and then cuddled with his Elmo the rest of the way.
The week went by WAY too fast! We can't wait for next year's vacation...

Tommy's Busy Saturday

Tommy had a very busy Saturday. He was invited to 2 birthday parties and we made it to both of them.

The first party was for Benjamin (my friend Jennifer's son) who turned 1 in July. He had a Winnie the Pooh theme and EVERYTHING followed the theme. The cake was even in the shape of a Honey Pot - it was all very cute.

Tommy had a lot of fun at the party...riding in the "big boy" car, sitting at the "big boy" table and eating gummi bears and cake. He even ate the cake with a fork. Ok - most of it missed his mouth, but it was cute to watch. :)

After we left that party, we headed to Denton for Jayce's 2nd birthday party. We got there after most people left and Tommy had fun playing with Jayce and her little sister. He was so excited and kept pointing at the baby. He had fun playing with a toy vacuum cleaner (yea) and hanging out with everyone outside while they played darts.

Needless to say, Tommy was pooped when we got home and even slept in until almost 9 Sunday morning.
