Family Fun Day

On August 2nd, we took the family to Ligonier Country Club for their annual Family Fun Day.

Tommy had a lot of fun running around in the bounce houses, fishing & playing all the games (multiple times).

Grace enjoyed the bounce houses, making sand art & getting her face painted.

Of course Tommy played the baseball game a ton.

Grace & Evelyn being artsy.

Tommy & Tim fishing.

Tom probably had more fun than Tommy fishing.

July Birthdays

Tom and I both have birthdays in July. For some reason, Tom thinks that we have to celebrate his birthday from July 1st to the 25th and I just get the 26th. What a dork!

On Tom's birthday weekend, he picked me up at work and we headed downtown for an overnight stay at the Renaissance Hotel and a Pirates game.

The next morning, we went to the strip and had a nice breakfast at Kelly O's Diner (which was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives).

The hotel was right across the bridge from PNC Park.

The family celebrated Tom's birthday on Sunday with presents and his favorite cake (the log cake from DQ)

For my birthday weekend, we stayed 2 nights in Pittsburgh. On Friday night, we went to Church Brew Works for dinner and then headed back to the hotel to swim.

Kids!

On Saturday, we all went to the outlet mall and then headed downtown for lunch and to let the kids play on the water steps. It was pretty hot - so the area was a little crowded.

Tommy & Grace looked so cute in their similar shirts

They can be stinkers sometimes...

That night, we went to have dinner and then went on a night-time sightseeing cruise. It was pretty interesting.

On the walk back to the hotel, the kids had a little dance party (so did Tom - just not in this picture)

We both had a great time on our birthdays this year!

PNC Park Tour

On July 18th, we met everyone in Pittsburgh for lunch and to do a tour of PNC Park.

It was an interesting tour, but I think we picked the hottest day of the year to go. :)

I think that bat might be a little big for him

Tommy is 6!

Tommy turned 6 on June 22nd. He was able to spend the evening doing something he loves - playing baseball!

After t-ball was over, we all headed back to our house to make tacos (per Tommy's request). We had cake and opened presents right after, since it was getting pretty late.

Present Time

We didn't have a birthday party with friends this year - instead we went to Washington DC. We also let Tommy invite one friend to a Pirates game on Sunday, June 28th. He picked his best friend, Gavin to go.

It was cute watching them in the car together - they were both a little shy at first and then wouldn't be quiet after the first 10 minutes.

Grace had fun playing Peppa Pig with Gavin

Of course he received lots of baseball/sports stuff for his b-day

Happy Birthday bud - we love you so much!!!
