First Basesball Game

Yesterday afternoon, Tom, Tommy and I met our neighbors at the Frisco Roughriders game. The weather was perfect (in the 70's) and we thought the fresh air might do little man some good. He did really well at the game just taking everything in.

We also went back to the doctors office this morning and Dr. Reyes said he was much better. So much better that he was able to get his 2 month shots. He didn't do too bad for those - only cried for about a minute.

2 Month Checkup (sort of)

Well, this morning we went in for our 2 month appointment and it didn't go exactly as we thought.

On Sunday, Tommy started coughing and having a runny/stuffy nose, but no fever. We read about what you can do for babies with colds (which is pretty much nothing except Tylenol). Monday, Tom called and spoke with the nurse and she recommended using saline drops in his nose to break up some of that gunk up there - which helped a little. He seemed like he was getting a little better.

So at our appointment today they weighed him (13 lbs.) and the doctor said that Tommy sounded a little wheezy in his chest. He was concerned that in could be the onset of RSV and develop into a lower respiratory infection. They tested him and it came back negative (thank goodness), but Dr. Reyes thought it would be best if he didn't go to daycare today. Instead, we have to do breathing treatments on the poor little guy every 4 hours this weekend and go back in on Monday to make sure he's getting better. The good thing is that he doesn't mind too much when the mask is on his face and he seems to be a little better after the 3 treatments he's had so far.

Tax Free Weekend

This past weekend, my parents came up and we went shopping on Saturday to take advantage of no tax on certain things. This was the first year that diapers were tax free - so we definitely stocked up on those (I think we have at least one box in every size).

I also bought Little Man some more baby clothes. The Children's Place Outlet had a great sale! I even surprised myself by not looking for any clothes for me. I guess part of the reason is that I want to lose the rest of the baby weight first.

The only bad thing about this weekend is that Little Man has a cold. I felt so bad for him last night. His nose is all stuffy and he has a little cough. He just looks like he feels bad - and I wish there was something (other than Tylenol) that I could do for him.

1st Week At Daycare

Today was the end of Little Man's first week at daycare (they are closed for an in service day tomorrow).

The first day was really hard for me, since I spent all that time at home with him. Tom knew I would be sad so he went with me. It's a good thing to, because I cried in the room dropping him off and outside when we were by our cars. The good news is that it did get better each day I dropped him off.

According to his teachers, he did really well this week. I'm still sad I don't get to hang out with him all day, but I think this will be good for him in the long run. I think it's important for him to interact with other kids his age.

I forgot to take a picture the first day, but I did take one today before we left. He is such a happy baby smiling all the time!

Another Play Date for Little Man

Tonight, Chris, Chuck and Charlie came over for dinner. It's so nice hanging out with a couple that has a baby a little older than Tommy. I'm hoping we can do it monthly...Thanks again Chris for letting me bombard you with questions!

Cutie Patootie!

These pictures were just too cute - I had to post them.

This picture is of Little Man in his Baby Bjorn before we left for a walk.

This picture is of him with his little stuffed Pierogi (Cheese Chester) - a gift from Tom's friend Dave.

A few more pictures from the beach

Well, Tom and I made it home last night around 6:00 after making a detour in Shreveport to gamble (my parents came up and got the baby and kept him overnight).

Halfway Point

Well, we've reached the half way point in our vacation and we had a busy day!

Christine, Eddie, Tom and I went jet skiing while Grandma and Grandpa babysat Little Man (well, Grandpa slept while he slept - like the books suggest). We had a quick lunch before heading back to the house.

Tom got a picture of his parents in the water before the dark clouds rolled in.

For dinner (we each have a night to plan a meal), Christine and Eddie made a "Thanksgiving Dinner" which consisted of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls and cranberry dressing - yum!

Vacation Time

Yesterday, Tom, Little Man and I started our trek to Florida. We stayed overnight in D'Iberville, MS. We ended up getting to Florida around 2:00 today.
