3D/4D Ultrasound

Tonight, Tom and I had an appointment for a 3D/4D ultrasound at Stork Vision in Frisco. It was amazing to see the baby like that! I've attached a few of my favorite pictures from the visit.

This is our favorite picture - it looks like he's a little "gangsta" with his arms crossed and his head tilted.
The rest are ones of him with his hands by his mouth. He must have been sleepy!

Induction Scheduled

Yesterday, I called and scheduled our induction with a nurse at Dr. Shimer's office. We are going in on June 22nd. My original due date was June 30th (a Tuesday), but my doctor only does his rounds/deliveries on Monday's and since I really like him, I wanted to make sure I delivered on a day he would be there. He gave me the option of June 22nd or June 29th. Of course, I went with the earlier date - I'm ready for these swollen ankles to go away as soon as possible.

It is so hard to believe that there is less than 8 weeks left before we will have another addition to our family! We have something going on every weekend between now and then - so that should make the time go by faster.

Vegas Baby!

This past weekend, Tom and I went to Vegas for our last "just the two of us trip" before the baby is born. It was a wonderful weekend (although how could you have a bad weekend in Vegas).

We left Friday right after work and got there around 9:00. We stayed at the Monte Carlo, one of our favorite hotels, and stayed there gambling on for the night.

Saturday, we walked the strip and I made a stop at my FAVORITE store in Vegas - M&M World. I love all their stuff - even though it's a little pricey. I did end up getting Thomas a onesie, bib and socks. They are so cute! We walked and gambled some more before having a late lunch at the Brew Pub so Tom could watch the Penguins game. We rested for a while after that, before heading out to New York, New York so Tom could play craps. I'm a slot girl - so I can pretty much play wherever. I will say that I had more luck at the slots this time than in previous trips which was nice.

Sunday, we ordered room service and ventured out one last time to go to the MGM and Tropicana before leaving to go to the airport in mid afternoon. I don't know what it is about the Vegas airport, but our flights back are ALWAYS delayed. We ended up getting home around midnight.

It was a pretty short trip - but I'm glad we were able to go one more time before baby Thomas arrives.

Dog Park

Today, we decided to take the puppies to the dog park. So we took them to this one in Allen (in the middle of a shopping center). I think that the puppies would have had more fun if it wasn't so windy and there had been other small dogs there.

Tom's mom and I went to Babies R Us, while the boys stayed at the park with the dogs. I did manage to snap a couple pictures of them before we left and good thing I did, because Tom and his dad didn't stay too long.

They are so cute!

Grandma's 80th Birthday

On Saturday, we went to Double Oak to celebrate Tom's grandma's 80th birthday. Her sisters and Tom's parents came down from Pittsburgh, PA to be with her. She had a great turnout - we think about 70 to 80 people showed up and she was so happy to be with all her friends and family.

All her friends ended up leaving around 4:00, and the rest of the family sat around while she opened all her presents. Hmm..I think it's funny that most of her friends got her some type of alcohol as a gift. Haha...

Happy Easter.

I made it a point to mention several times yesterday that I wanted to take pictures of our Easter. Of course, I remembered right after everyone left (and no one reminded me). I'm going to blame it on the pregnancy, but I'm not sure what everyone else's excuse is! :)

Our Easter was very nice. We got to spend it with my parents, sister and Uncle Ricky. My parents brought us one Easter basket to share with ALOT of candy to share. Unfortunately for me (or maybe not), Tom isn't a big chocolate person. The only candy he will really eat are Rolo's & M&M's. There are a few of those in there, which means that the rest of the candy will be gone by the end of the week (who am I kidding - it will probably be gone in a couple of days). I seriously have no control where chocolate is concerned. The good news is that I can just use the excuse that I'm eating for 2 this year - and hope that's good enough....

Chris & Chuck's Couple Shower

Tonight, Tom and I went to our very first couple's shower. It was a baby shower for our friends, Chris & Chuck in Allen.

It was a lot of fun hanging out with everyone and watching them open all their gifts. They had lots of yummy food and the shower games were fun. I even won the Babyo game (similar to Bingo) - along with about 6 other people!

Tom even enjoyed it - I think it's because he was hanging out upstairs with the guys watching basketball.
