Two Weeks in Texas

On Mother's Day I had to fly to Texas for two weeks for an audit at work.

I was there by myself from Monday to Wednesday night. I got a few important things done - like getting my hair done, having dinner with friends and working.

Dinner at Esparza's with Nancy & Mike

Tom and the kids joined me on Thursday afternoon and we had a fun packed time. We ate at Chuy's, went to see our friends, Chris, Chuck, Charlie & Isabella and went to a water park all by Saturday afternoon.

Tommy impressed us with his skills at Chuy's

Tommy didn't mind as much

Dork!

My mom and dad came to get the kids Saturday afternoon and they spent the rest of the week with them.

Fun at Gamma and Gampas

Tom and I enjoyed the time by ourselves. We got to see 2 movies (Ironman 3 & The Hangover 3), had dinner with some of Tom's clients, hung out at the hotel with the auditors and ate out a lot. :)

We met Nancy, Mike and Uncle Ricky at Main Street Days in Grapevine

Dinner at Fireside Pies with Tim and Tina (our old neighbors)

After that little break from the kids, I was so happy to see them running towards us at the airport on Friday.

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was pretty low key.

We putzed around the house most of the morning and Tom made pancakes for breakfast.

I love them so much

Grace made this for me

Tommy was so proud of this (there was chocolate inside for me)

Tom has great taste

They were a little tired of taking pictures :)

That afternoon, we headed to Pittsburgh for a Mother's Day brunch at Anthony's on the Mon. It was a great brunch with a lot of food. The kids liked looking at the aquarium right beside our table and walking around to look at the boats on the river. It was a little chilly - so we didn't stay outside long. :)

After that, we headed to the airport so I could make my flight to Texas (yes, I was sad to leave Tom and the kids on such a special day).

Horses, Jammie Jams & Baseball

Last weekend was jam packed with a whole lot of fun activities.

Saturday afternoon, Tommy and I went to a birthday party for one of his school friends. Other than running around acting crazy with his friends - Tommy got to ride a horse for the first time. It was a little surprising, because in the past he has been scared to get up close to him. I think seeing all his friends around the horses helped a lot.

That evening we headed to the Carnegie Science Center for their almost overnight program called Jammie Jams. The event lasted from 5:30 to 9:00 and the kids (and Tom) had a blast exploring everything.

Of course Tommy and Grace flocked to the hockey stuff

Sunday, we headed to PNC Park for kids day at the Pirates game. The kids had fun and each got a pirogi umbrella (which was the highlight of Tommy's day). After the game, we walked along the river and had dinner at Pittsburgh Grille.

They are so cute together

Tommy got a foul ball (from a friend)
