9 Month Pictures

Today, we took Tommy in for his 9 month pictures and once again it was EXTREMELY hard to narrow it down. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you have a cutie pie! :)

Easter Egg Hunt

This morning, Tom and I took Tommy to get a picture with the Easter Bunny and to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt put on by our community.

I have hard copies of him with the Easter Bunny, but I wasn't able to take any with my camera. :(

It was a little windy, but Tommy was able to collect 2 eggs during the "hunt" - woo-hoo!

I'm ready for the hunting

I got some eggs!

I better hide them...

So these other kids don't get them

9 Month Check-Up

This afternoon, we took Tommy to the doctors office for his 9 month check-up. They had to prick his heel and give him 1 shot - he did great for both things - only crying for a few seconds.

The doctor also wants us to continue doing the steriod breathing treatment until our next appointment in 2 weeks to rule out allegeries. We also don't have to do tubes YET - but if Tommy gets one more ear infection we will have to get them.

Here are the stats from his appointment:
  • Weight - 21 lb. 7 oz. (62%)
  • Height - 28 in. (50%)
  • Head Circ. - 18 in. (61%)
Tommy is doing a lot of cute/new things right now:
  • Makes a Cheerio mouth (that's what my dad calls it) when he gets excited
  • Crawls backward (he can go forward a little and he rocks a lot)
  • Has 4 teeth (the 2 front bottom ones and the 2 eye teeth on the top)
  • Screams when he gets excited (started this a couple days ago)
  • Experimenting with Stage 3 foods - he loves the pasta ones
  • Drinks juice out of a sippy cup
  • Likes holding his "clean" diaper for us when we change him
Happy even after a breathing treatment

Sick Again!

Well, it's been a couple weeks of having a healthy baby and Tom and I figured with the crappy weather this weekend that Tommy would get sick again - and boy did he get sick!

Tom took Tommy to the doctor this afternoon and the poor baby is wheezing, has 2 ear infections and has this red bump on his leg that hasn't gone away. After Tom got the stack of prescriptions (okay - just 4), I ran to Target to get them filled. He has a ointment for the bump, albuterol and a steriod for the wheezing and an antibiotic for the ear infections. :(

We go back on Friday for his nine month checkup and for them to see if he's getting better. The sucky thing is that they referred us to a Ears, Nose and Throat doctor to see if he needs to get tubes in his ears. I'm not looking forward to putting my baby through that procedure.

Our poor, little guy can't catch a break!

In happier, healthy times

Then the crappy (but pretty) weather comes

Mommy, I'm sick

But I'm still in a happy mood

Just a Swingin'

Today, since it was so nice outside, Tom and I took Tommy to one of the parks in our neighborhood to swing. It was Tommy's first time to swing and he absolutely LOVED it! He had a lot of fun and was smiling the whole time. I see us doing this a lot in the future.

Playdate with Charlie and Eli

Yesterday afternoon, Tommy and I met some friends at the Allen Outlet Mall. There were 5 of us with our stollers walking around. It was fun, but since it was such a nice day it was REALLY crowded and it was hard to get around with all the stollers. I forgot my camera - so I didn't get any pictures of us.

After the mall, Jocelyn, Eli (3 months old), Chris and Charlie (almost 10 months old) came to our house to hang out. Since Tom went to the fight at the stadium it just the girls (well, and our boys). We let the kids play and caught up on gossip and other important things. The boys did really well and fell asleep around 9:00. We tried watching The Time Traveler's Wife after that, but since we don't get a lot of sleep with the babies, only got about 30 minutes into it before we gave up and went to bed close to midnight with the time change.

Cutie pies!

I Love My Puffs!

About 2 weeks ago we introduced Tommy to the Gerber Graduates Puffs.

At first he pretty much just moved them around on the high chair, but after a few days he learned how to pick them up with his hands. The only problem with that was if he happened to get the puff in his fist - he didn't know how to get it out.

A couple days ago he figured out how to get it out of the fist and into his mouth. It's the cutest thing watching him stuff the puffs in his yapper. :)

Playdate with Charlie

Last night, the 3 of us went over to see Chris, Chuck and Charlie. Chris is a friend of mine from college and they happen to live about 15 minutes away from us. Chuck made a great meal (chicken, potatoes and green beans) and Chris made some wonderful brownies.

Tommy got to play with Charlie (who is one month older than him) and all of Charlie's toys. I think he had a lot of fun playing and of course his favorite toy happened to be a "water bottle." Haha. He liked watching Charlie crawl around all night and I managed to get a few cute pictures.

Tommy was slapping Charlie on the butt -too cute!

They are both so handsome

Clapping

Last week, Tommy started clapping. I've tried to get it on video since then, but he always happens to do it when I don't have the camera handy (i.e. in the car, changing his diaper, etc.). Today, I was finally able to catch him in the act. Woo-hoo!

Big Green Tractor

Tommy just happens to be a big fan of  the "tractor" like his Pappy in Pittsburgh. Since we don't have one, maybe he can sweet talk Pappy into letting him drive next time we are up there. :)

8 Months Old

Yesterday, we took Tommy in for his 8 month pictures. Even though he's sick, he did a great job. They even captured a picture of him clapping his hands (he just learned how).
