Fall Festival

In late October we went to the club for the Fall Festival. The kids were able to decorate pumpkins, run around and watch an animal show.

Tommy was too busy running around to finish his name - haha.

You should be scared....

Grace didn't want in on this action.

Halloween Weekend

The Halloween weekend started with a win. My office had a cube decorating contest - and my cube won! My prize was a Subway gift card. Woo-hoo!

Must have been dirty - look at all those cob webs.

My winnings

This was the 2nd Halloween in a row that it rained during trick-or-treating. Even with the crappy weather, we ventured out into the (cold) dreary weather. The kids kind of had fun, but they were worried that each house we went to had a dog - so Tom or I had to walk up to the door with them.

I want to say the 4 of us probably went to about 8 houses on our street. Tommy was more interested in going back to our house to hand out candy, so the boys went home. Grace and I walked around to about 4 or 5 more houses (one of them was her classmate) and then walked (or rode in a stroller) back home.

Tom had set up shop on the front stoop - complete with a heater and 2 chairs. Haha! Since the weather was so dreary we didn't have a lot of kids - so we still had a ton of candy left at the end of the night. :(

I had to bribe them to take one more with me.

Saturday night, the 4 of us went to the Penguins game. This was the first game for the kids at Consol Energy Center. I think they both had a lot of fun an we did end up staying most of the game.

Grace doesn't like how loud the games are....

Sunday, Tommy and I went to do a little shopping and then went to see Book of Life at the theater, while Tom and Grace stayed home to watch football and make cookies.

Sports, Sports & More Sports

The week of October 20th was a busy week for us.

On Monday, Tommy started basketball (which he kind of likes) at a "big school" in the area. He did have fun with the other kids, but he was upset that they didn't play a game that first time.

It's hard to get a picture when they are running around the whole time.

Grace enjoyed her Oreo's (and of course supporting her brother)

Thursday night was the last soccer practice/game of the fall season. Tommy had a great night and scored 5 goals (he's an awesome soccer player - I could be a little biased though). The season ended with Coach Tom handing out ribbons, airheads and "Ghoul-Aid" to all the kids. :) Even though Tom is the only coach on the team, I think he really enjoys getting out there with the kids.

The Minions -haha

On Friday night, we gave the kids the option of bowling, roller skating or going to see a movie. They both chose to go bowling. We had a lot of fun, but it takes a while to play one game when you have to kiddos with you.

Hallow-Boo 2014

This year we met Christine & Eddie at Idlewild on a Sunday (the 19th). Thank goodness we picked a day/time the Steelers weren't playing. :) I think everyone else in the area had the same idea though.

The kids all had fun going around "trick-or treating" in Storybook Forest.

Tommy remembered the sword in the stone and told us this year that he was going to pull the sword out - haha - he tried REALLY hard, but it still wouldn't come out.
