Family/Tommy's 18 Month Photos

On Saturday, the 3 of us went in for our Christmas family photos and Tommy's 18 month photos (yes, a month early). I think that they turned out great. Tommy is so photogenic.

Long Weekend in Pittsburgh

Tom, Tommy and I went up to Pittsburgh this weekend to visit Tom's parents. Other than our flight getting delayed for over 2 hours we arrived into town in one piece (Tommy slept a majority of the flight).

On Saturday, we stayed around the house all day and Tom's best friend from college came over with his wife and son (who turned 1 in late October).

Some of Tommy's favorite things to do around the house:

Climb the stairs

Have I mentioned how he likes to climb the stairs (ha)

Play with everything but the toys (with his friend Anthony)

Take a beer break (jk - the mug was empty)

 Mug for the camera

 Hang out with the boys

On Sunday, we went to visit Tom's grandpa in Bethel Park, dropped Tommy off at his Great-Aunt Lisa and Uncle Pauls' house and then headed to the Steelers vs. Patriots game at Heinz Field.

It was rainy most of the time, so we tailgated from the car and then decided to walk over to the casino for a warm bathroom and of course to do a little gambling. Tom and I actually won money in the 25 minutes we were there.

Great seats for the game (the drunk beside me stole my water when we went down at halftime)
The Steelers ended up losing, but Tom did get to meet up with his best friend from high school, Brownie. It was a fun (but late) night.

Tommy's 1st NHL Game

On Wednesday night, the 3 of us went to the AAC to watch the Pittsburgh Penguins take on the Dallas Stars.

It was Tommy's 1st game and we were worried about how he would do - especially since we were 2 rows up from the ice behind the goal. It was great sitting that close, but Tommy was whimpering a little for the first 10 minutes, but once he got used to all the action he had a great time (especially watching the Zamboni). We didn't get to stay for the entire game - for some reason there were a TON of fights that night- and the game was a little longer than normal.

The Pens ended up losing to the Stars and Tom was a little sad, but we did have a fun family night out.

Happy Halloween

On Sunday, the three of us went to do a little trick-or-treating in the evening. Tommy loved walking around, but got a little scared walking up to people's houses and getting candy from strangers. We ended up going to about 8 houses before heading back to our house to hand out candy to the neighborhood kids.

We figure Tommy will be a little more interested in it next year - when he understands what candy is!
