Monster Jam

Last Saturday, we took the kids to the stadium to watch the monster trucks.

We got there a couple minutes after it started and thank goodness my boss invited us to a suite. The glass was closed so it wasn't very loud and Grace didn't need to wear her headphones. Tommy spent 95% of the time out in the seats with either me or Tom. It was even hard to get him inside to eat a little.

I think his favorite part of the night was when one of the trucks flipped over and lost a tire during the free style part. We left around 9:30, but not before getting Tommy his own stuffed monster truck.

Scooting and Driving Around

Trip to Little Rock

A couple weekends ago, we drove to Little Rock (with a pit stop to see my parents) to see Christine and Eddie and give them some baby stuff and little Evelyn's baby gifts.

Tom reserved a 2 bedroom suite at a Townplace Suites so we could all hang out together. Tommy and Grace (especially Tommy) had a great time in the hotel room. It's amazing what activities Tommy made up to do. He had pillow fights, jumped on the couch, used the couch pillows as skateboards, etc. Grace was her normal, happy (and good) self and she pretty much just watched her brother run wild!

We went to Mimi's Cafe for dinner on Saturday night and all of us ordered breakfast for dinner - yum! Grace enjoyed pancakes and the inside of a dinner roll and Tommy loved his "Mimi" mouse pancakes.

It was a very short trip, and after breakfast Sunday morning (and more pillow skating), we headed out. We did make another stop at my parents house - it's the perfect halfway point - and had a late lunch with them and visited some before heading back to DFW.

School Valentine' Day Party

On Tuesday, Tom and I both went to the kids' school for their Valentine's Day Party.

Grace's class didn't do anything, so after saying "Hi" to Tommy I went back to grab her from her class so she could celebrate with Tommy.

Tommy and Grace both came home with a lot of cards, books (Grace) and candy (Tommy). For Grace's class, we gave the kids a card and a little ducky. For Tommy's class, he picked out Toy Story cards and suckers.

I guess Tommy is too cool for the Valentine hat.

Well hello cutie!

Bingo and Valentine's Day Date

This past weekend, Tom and I had 2 date nights in a row.

On Friday night, our community had a Bingo Night at the community association. They provided food and soft drinks, but we brought our own beer (Tom) and wine (me). It turned out to be a great night. Tom won the first game and received a gift card to In-N-Out Burger and I won the next to last game and got a Applebee's gift card.
 I love Bingo

Beer and wine - good times!

The loot

Saturday night, we took the kids up to school for Parents Night Out and then Tom and I went out to dinner at Bailey's Prime Plus in Fairview. It was a nice, relaxing dinner and we enjoyed eating a full meal without any interruptions.

Flowers from Tom - so pretty

What's funny is that our waiter turned out to be the ex-owner of the place that we held our rehearsal dinner at over 4 years ago. We caught up with him for a little while and he even gave both of us free desserts. Yum!

Bulk shopping is fun - especially when you get free samples. :)

Grace's 11 Month Photos

On Sunday, my mom and I took Grace in for her 11 month pictures.

Once again she was the happiest baby before we went in the room, but once we got in there she turned completely serious. Oh well - we still got some great pictures. :)

At 11 months Grace isn't doing much more than what I posted on her 10 month post. She is scooting a lot more and can make it into the kitchen from the family room in no time at all. She's also eating a little more table food and we are practicing with her sippy cup more. At school they say she does great, but at home - not so much. :)

We love our little Grace!

Boys Night/Girls Night

Last Saturday, Tom, Tommy, Charlie and Chuck went out for a boy's night to the Allen Americans hockey game. Tommy and Charlie had a great time - and even ate some of the $2 hot dogs.

That same night, Grace, Chris and I stayed home and had a girls night. Grace was still sick, but in a great mood. We played, Chris made dinner and then we watched the movie What's Your Number?. It was a cute movie and we had a great time not running around after our rowdy boys!
