Grace is 4

On March 6th, my baby turned 4!!!

She woke up to balloons all over her floor and the 3 of us singing Happy Birthday to her. She was so excited about her birthday - that Peyton's mom (a girl in her class) send me a text about how Grace ran up to them at drop off to tell them it was her birthday. :)

We took cookies for her to share with her friends during snack time. Normally Grace is shy, but on her birthday she was so outgoing (maybe it's a 4 thing) - and told EVERYONE that it was her birthday.

That night, we went to dinner with Tim & Diana at the golf course and Grace told the manager that it was her birthday and the whole restaurant sang to her. She was in heaven! Once we got home she opened a few presents and then had cake.

Dentist Appointments & A Snow Day

We had Grace's dental consultation on Feb 21st with a local pediatric dentist. The weather was actually pretty bad (lots of snow), so Tom came home from work to drive us to the appointment.

Grace was fine until we went back to the room. She was crying the entire time, even though the dentist was just looking in her mouth...

    Happy before we went back

Tommy was excited to play basketball the whole time

The dentist was so nice and made sure to explain everything to me. The news was very upsetting though. Grace has very brittle/flaky teeth (something that happened while I was pregnant with her). She has 2 teeth (both molars on the bottom) that need capped - since they are the last baby teeth to go probably around the time she turns 12. He also thinks she has a few cavities that need filled, plus she needs x-rays. He recommended we put her under to do the procedures, since she would barely open her mouth for him to look in there.

We scheduled the appointment for May. I'm glad that everything will be fixed, but I'm so nervous about everything. Poor Gracie baby!!

We stayed home the rest of the day/night and decided to do our family movie night on Saturday instead of Sunday. We all cuddled on the couches with the fire going and watched How To Train Your Dragon 2.

    Vegas

Over Valentines weekend, Tom and I met Michelle and Byron in Vegas. This was the first time that we both stayed in the same hotel - NYNY.

We got to Vegas about 45 minutes after Michelle and Byron and shared a cab to the hotel. After checking in, we did a little gambling before going out to a nice steak dinner (or Valentine dinner early) at Tender.

The next morning, we had breakfast at Mon Ami before walking the strip and gambling/shopping most of the day.

The old Barbary Coast where we celebrated after Tom proposed to me in 2006....

For dinner Friday night, we used my free Food & Beer Pairing that I earned from playing myVegas on Facebook. There was a ton of food!

The revert back to high school/college guys when they get together (and even matched)

Saturday morning, we had brunch at Borders Grill. We chose the buffet - where they bring you small portions of food to share at the table. I'm betting we tried everything at least once. :) Michelle, Tom and I also took advantage of the unlimited mimosas (and tried almost every flavor they had).

Yikes - that is a lot of mimosas!

After walking around and gambling some more, we took a break and hung out in our room for some of the afternoon - snacking and doing a few jello shots.

We left Sunday morning and made it back to our house around 7:00 pm that night. It was a fun trip, but it was nice to be back home with the kids. :)
