2009 State Fair

Yesterday, we decided to brave the cold (54 degrees) and met Michelle, Byron & Madison at the state fair. We figured that since it was a little chilly out that it wouldn't be that crowded. Boy were we wrong! It was so hard to get around and some people are just plain rude. I don't understand why people think it's okay to just stop in the middle of the aisle to talk or look at the food stands...AARRGH!

Other than the stupid people (and the cold) we had a great time. The only fried food Tom and I had was the Fried Cookie Dough - we didn't feel like wasting our money on the Fried Butter - winner of this year's most creative dish. Michelle & Byron had the Fried Smores and the Green Goblin (a cherry pepper stuffed with chicken and guacamole - and of course it was fried).

The nice thing was that they had these "Baby Stations" set up around the fair where you could breast feed or change diapers. Those came in handy a couple of times.

Tommy did great out there and was really enamored with all the lights on the children's rides. Next year, he should be big enough to ride something.
