Weekend Project

Ever since we moved into our house in 2012, we been thinking of what we could do with this little nook right outside our bedroom.

Tom came up with the perfect idea at the end of August. He had the great idea to turn it into the "school zone."  For the past couple years, we have been hanging jackets/school bags on these hooks in our laundry room (which isn't the biggest room in the first place). We hated how crowded it was, but didn't have another solution...until now.

The nook before (we did have a wedding picture in there)

Tom painted it the same color as our basement (a lighter brown color), built a cute storage bench, hung a shelf and nice hooks. The finished product is great! I love being able to hang the kids stuff here.

I think this area looks perfect.

A touch of fall + cute wicker baskets for the kids stuff

Magnetic Frame with pictures of the cuties

Heavy duty hooks for bags and winter items

Tom did a great job with everything. I'm glad we have a use for this space (and that our laundry room isn't as crowded anymore.
