Basement Bathroom Remodel

We love having a bathroom in the basement, but what we didn't love was wallpaper and vanity. It was something we could live with, so we put it off for 2 years.

We started out with this....

Look at this wallpaper

Some people may find this attractive - but I'm not one of them

After a few weekends (and week nights), we got all the wallpaper down (from the ceiling too).Once that was done, Tom patched up the wall and painted the ceiling white and walls gray. We went to Lowe's to get a new light fixture, sink & towel rack. I also bought a new shower curtain and rug.

Other than finding a shelf for the wall - this bathroom is done!

  1. Now that's an idea. Basement bathrooms can be a great help, if only because they're a good spare. They also realize the basement as a fully lived space, or at least a space that can be totally inhabited and made use for. However, there is the risk of it being further problematic when you say, the drains clog up and you are faced with flooding at the foundations, but that's where good plumbing comes in. At the very least, you're on to something there. All the best!
