Parade of Costumes & Halloween Party

Today at Tommy's daycare they celebrated Halloween by having a Parade of Costumes for the kids in the morning and a class party in the afternoon.

I wasn't able to make the parade, but Tom went and got a few good pictures of Tommy (he's a scarecrow this year).

Notice Tommy sitting between the girls - ha!

Cutest Scarecrow Ever
We both made it for Tommy's 1st Halloween Party in the afternoon. All the parents had to sign up for something and I made Chocolate Chip cookies and the pumpkin cookies (break and bake). Tommy was scared we were going to leave so he was a little clingy to me at first, but then he settled down in his chair and enjoyed his snacks. The Cheetos and the crackers were the first to go - unlike me, Tommy isn't a big sweets person and barely touched the cookies. Before we left for the day, we went outside with Tommy's class so we could watch him play with his friends.

Tommy & Daddy Watching the Rangers

On Wednesday night, the weather was a little cooler so Tommy and Daddy enjoyed hanging out on the patio, with the fire going watching the Rangers & the Penguins games.

I wonder what Tom would do if Tommy hated watching sports when he was older? :)

Aww...Come on Rangers!

Dad, give me some of that beer, this game is intense!

Mom....I'm not ready for my bath!

Mia's 2nd Birthday Party

Last Saturday, Tommy attended his friend Mia's 2nd birthday party. It was supposed to be outside, but since it rained most of the day, they had to move it to the garage and inside the house.

They had a petting zoo, but all the animals had to stay in their crates. Tommy kept walking up to the goat (but would turn and run back to me crying because he was scared). He would also go up to the duck and move his arms and say "ack! ack!".

After a while, it started getting chilly so we went up to the playroom so Tommy could play and of course he went for the stroller with the doll in it. He looked like such a big boy and I know he will be a big help when his little sister arrives.

Mia wasn't that interested in her cake

We ended up staying a couple hours before heading home.

Big Shoes to Fill

Tommy found a pair of shoes that he likes, but like his dad they have to pass the 2 tests.

Do they fit me?

Can I walk in them?

Who Had Fun at the Park?

Last Sunday, while Tom's parents were still here - we all took a walk down to the park so Tommy could play on the slide and swing.

Tommy really enjoyed playing on everything, but I can't tell from these pictures who had more fun - Tommy, Pap-Pap or Daddy. :)

Tommy loves sliding...

 driving...

& climbing, but...

 Pap-Pap loves digging...

 and so does Daddy!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

On Saturday, The 3 of us, plus Tom's parents (who came down from PA for a visit) took Tommy to his 1st Pumpkin Patch.

We went to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm (http://www.bigorangepumpkinfarm.com/about.html) in Celina, TX.

Tommy had a great time running around trying to pick up all the pumpkins, going on a hay ride, riding the little kid cars, eating a hot dog at the big boy tables and looking at all the animals (he was a little scared to pet or feed them though).

This one is more his size!

We wrapped up the day by going to church and having dinner at Chuy's where Tommy ate his first quesadilla.

I think that we wore him out though because he slept until around 8:30 on Sunday morning. I think this will have to become an annual tradition. :)

Tommy, Kylee & Carrie Underwood

Last weekend, my parents, Kimberly and Kylee came up for the weekend.

Saturday morning our community had a garage sale and we made enough money to buy Tommy this storage and book case, which makes our family room look a lot more organized. After we packed away all our stuff we went out to lunch and did a little shopping.

The book/storage case we bought
Tommy was a big help with Kylee during the garage sale and shopping. He would rock her in her carrier and kept wanting to hold her at Costco - it was cute!

My mom's birthday was the week earlier and Tom and I got her tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert. We headed down there that night and had a great time. My mom loved the concert (I figured she would since Carrie is her favorite singer).

My mom and I at the concert (very last row)

Sunday, Tom and I went to the Cowboys vs. Titans game (we even went early to tailgate), while my family watched Tommy. We only stayed through the 3rd quarter because Tom wasn't feeling well.

Notice my Steelers/Cowboys shirt :)

It's A.....

BABY GIRL!!!

Tom and I went to our sonogram appointment on Friday and everything looked great. I must admit that I went into the appointment knowing it was a boy (everyone including our doctor guessed boy), so it was a GREAT surprise finding out the opposite was true! I'm so excited that we are going to have one of each and can't wait to decorate the room. :)

Tommy & His Chair

This weekend, I went to Ikea to get Tommy his very own chair little person chair.

Let me just say that he LOVES it. Tom and I get a kick out of watching him climb into it - I really need to get a video - he puts his face all the way against the back cushion and just kind of climbs in, stands up and finally plants his butt in it. It was definitely a wise purchase. :)
