Tommy's 1st Birthday Party

On Saturday afternoon, we celebrated Tommy's 1st birthday party with our friends and family.

I love Tommy's shirt. I ordered it off Etsy.
We went with a "puppy" theme, since Tommy loves our dogs and quite a few of his stuffed animals are doggies. We had about 20 people over to share his special day (well, it's a couple weeks early so Tom's family could be here).

Tommy was feeling under the weather and was a little fussy most of the afternoon. We thought it was because he was teething, but Tom took him to the doctor today to see what this rash on his knees and legs could be and found out that he had Hand, Foot and Mouth disease!

Other than the fussiness, I think that Tommy had a great time at his party. He received a lot of nice gifts (books, clothes, toys and moolah). We got him this Little People Car and once we put him on it - Charlie (who is one month older than him), pushed him around the house. It was the cutest thing!!

I was excited to see how he did with his smash cake and it was funny to us, because it seemed like he didn't want to make a mess - so he just got a little icing off with his little finger and put it in his mouth. I had to help him make a mess. What's funny is that he has no problem making a mess in the rest of the house! :)
