Weekend in Pittsburgh

This past weekend the Rennie's took a plane up to Pittsburgh to visit Grandma, Pappy and Aunt Christine.

We landed in Pittsburgh around 10:30 on Thursday night to a winter wonderland. They had a ton of snow on the ground from the snow storms the week before.

On Friday, Tom's mom and I went shopping in the morning. I was able to find stuff for me, Tom and Tommy and didn't have to pay sales tax on any of it. I love the tax free shopping! That afternoon, all of us went to this winery about 15 minutes away (yum!). Is it sad that Tommy's been to 3 or 4 wineries in his 8 months of living? Hmm....maybe it just makes him cultured... Since Lent started on Wednesday, we hit up this seafood restaurant for dinner. I have never seen so many Easter decorations in one place before!

Hmm...what looks good?

Saturday, the girls went shopping again and this time we found some great deals at Macy's. They had a lot of the baby clothes marked down to $3.99, plus you got to take an extra 30% off. We took advantage and bought some winter clothes for next year. That afternoon, Tom's Aunt Cheri came over with her kids to meet Tommy (they were out of town when we came up in November). We had a pizza night (Tom and I got pizzas from 2 of their favorite places in Latrobe).

Mom, quit taking picutres when I'm looking at the menu!

Sunday, Christine headed back to Nashville and Tom, Tommy and I headed over to see Chris, Megan and Aredn, friends of ours that moved back to PA from Texas last year. Megan is expecting her second baby (a boy) in July. We had a great time catching up with them and Arden loved Tommy. I'm not sure if I should be worried, but she was flirting with Tom a lot towards the end.... :) We met Tom's parents for dinner and then headed home to give Tommy his bath. We get a kick out of how excited he is at bath time.

I did forget to mention that we did make it to Primanti's for lunch one day. You can't go to Pittsburgh without having one of their sandwiches!

We got home around 9:00 on Monday night. We had a great time with the family and can't wait to see everyone again!!!
