Grace's 5th Birthday Party

On Thursday, March 3rd, we had Grace's 5th Birthday Party at Seabase. I wasn't sure how the turnout would be having the party during the week - but 16 kids came to celebrate with her and the place wasn't a madhouse like it would have been during the weekend.

I took off work a couple hours early and ran a few last minute errands (picking up the balloons, getting the kids, etc.)  We had a little time at home to relax and take some family photos before the party.

We had some of these cookies individually wrapped as part of the favor bag (and Grace took some to school on Friday to share with all her friends.

Missy did a great job on the cake!

At Seabase, everyone at the party gets the option of riding the train or playing laser tag. Grace and all the other girls chose the train (and they all wanted to ride in the same car as her).

The boys were too cool for the train - and opted for laser tag.

I love watching Grace interact with all her friends. I can tell they all get along and really enjoy playing together.I know she had the best time at her party and really appreciated everyone coming to celebrate with her.

February Recap

February was a pretty low key month for us.

In early February, the kids had fun filling our Valentine's cards and filling the bags with candy.

On the 12th, I got to help with Tommy's class party. I love getting to spend the extra time with the kids and I know Tommy was happy that I came. :) I even got to read a book to the class!

Future Heartbreaker

Grace also had her party that day, but parents aren't invited to the class parties at the daycare... :(

My little Queen of Hearts

On Valentines weekend, we met Christine & Eddie at Greendance for a Flurry Fondue Event. It was a lot of fun and the food was really good.

I am off of work on President's Day (and Tommy's school was closed), so I took the kids to a trampoline park. They had a blast - and so did I - we all jumped together the entire time we were there. I would definitely go back (maybe we can talk Tom into taking us).

The next weekend, we met some friends for dinner. Tom went to school with Bates and Tommy is in school with the daughter, Juliette. We had the entire back room to ourselves and the kids got to run around and play "mom and dad".

Since our company is growing so much and there isn't enough space, they had to give everyone smaller cubes. :( We all had to work in conference rooms for a week - fun!

January Recap

I'm WAY behind on the blog - so I'll do a quick recap of January...

The beginning of January we celebrated Pap-Pap's birthday.

The kids and I went fishing. :)

We celebrated Christine's birthday by going bowling.

We had a girls night at Painting with a Twist. It was a lot of fun hanging out eating and drinking - the paintings even looked like the artist.

We also attended a birthday party at the new Westmoreland Museum of Modern Art building that recently opened.

The was a huge snowstorm the weekend we went to Hidden Valley. It was so bad, we pretty much stayed inside most of the time. The snow tubing was even closed. Tom was able to ski though.

The kids ventured outside for a while.

When we got home on Sunday, we all put our snow stuff on and played in the back yard.

The last weekend in January, we went to Tommy's school for an open house. Tommy got to show off some of his work. :)

Tommy also lost 2 more teeth in January. Look at that little snaggletooth cutie pie!

Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning, the kids woke up early and we all went to see what Santa left and open our presents..

Tommy got a few Miles From Tomorrowland toys, some wrestlers and Pokemon cards from us. Santa gave both kids their own Kindle Fire Kid's Tablets (which they LOVE).

Grace got a lot of Shopkins, a couple Barbie's and the Wubble Ball.

While the kids were opening presents, Tom and I had mimosas. After the kids were done with their presents, they helped us open ours. :)

The only picture I have of the both of us on Christmas morning.

Tom opened his own presents - golf shoes and hats

The next morning the girls went to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast and went to Target to get Christmas stuff for next year.
