Over Christmas, Tommy was complaining about his mouth hurting and how it was hurting him to eat - not to mention that his face was really swollen on the side that he just had his first cavity filled.
When Tom took him back to the regular dentist the first time, they just said it was an infection and gave him antibiotics. That took care of the problem - for a little while....
The week of January 19th, Tommy started complaining about his mouth hurting when I would give him a kiss on that side. Tom and I were a little worried, so I called on the 22nd of January to a pediatric dentist that was recommended to us and they fit us in that day. They confirmed that the other dentist didn't get all the cavity out before they filled it. Poor baby!!
They gave Tom 2 options - either give him medicine to make the infection go away (and it would just keep coming back) or pulling the tooth. Tom went with option 2 and they pulled the tooth right then.
Tommy was a big boy through the whole process and ht was very excited about the tooth fairy coming to visit him.
Playing in the waiting room (Tom said he was a little nervous)
It was on the top (closer to the back)

Wrapped and waiting for the tooth fairy
Tommy got a generous tooth fairy - they left him $5 - which he used to buy some Pokemon cards at Target that weekend.
