Fun Days and Parties

In early August we headed to the Club for a Family Fun Day. They had lots of fun activities for the kids including:

• Horse Rides
• Petting Zoo
• Cotton Candy
• Fishing

The next weekend, I took the kids to Arden's 6th birthday party. Grace had fun swinging and Tommy ran around and played in the creek with some new friends.

Touring Pittsburgh

The last weekend of July we did a couple of tourist-y things with Aunt Christine, Evelyn, Grammy and Pap-Pap.

The boys (and Grace) met us downtown (we had been at the outlet mall in the morning) to go on the Good Ship Lollipop. It was a lot of fun and we learned some interesting Pittsburgh facts. There was even a Pirate adventure for the little kids.

After the ship, we walked over to the incline and rode that to the top of Mt. Washington, walked around a bit and then rode the incline back down.

We had dinner at Station Square at Houlihan's. The food was good and we had the whole back part of the restaurant to ourselves.

On the way home, we had two worn out little munchkins.

My Birthday Week

This year I feel like I pretty much got to celebrate my birthday over a week.

The weekend before my birthday, Tom surprised me with a trip to Hershey, PA. We hit up 2 wineries before checking into a bed and breakfast (something I've always wanted to do).

After getting a tour of the Bed & Breakfast, we headed out to one more winery before going to the outlet mall. The best thing about that is since it was my "birthday trip" Tom couldn't rush me or gripe about how long I took (which he usually does if he goes shopping with me - it's rare he goes though).

Once I bought the stores out (haha) we headed to a local restaurant for dinner. It was really good.

That night, we played a couple games in the study and then sat around talking to the other family staying with us. They were very nice and we stayed up talking just past midnight.

The actual night of my birthday, we all went out to El Patron for dinner and then came back to the house for a little cake and ice cream. Tom also picked out a nice shirt from Loft and brought home some beautiful flowers. He does love me. :)
