We got there Saturday afternoon around 3:00 and managed to get a cabin right next door to Jocelyn and Scott (thanks Jocelyn!). It was a little chilly, but we did go down to the river for a little while after eating lunch.

Little man "cheesin"
That night, Scott grilled fajita meat and Jocelyn got the rest of the dinner ready. After putting the kids to bed, we all sat around a fire (that Tom and Scott built).

Tommy and Eli ridin dirty
Sunday morning, Tom made breakfast (eggs in a basket, bacon & toast) and then Scott got some bait and all the boys went fishing. Tommy and Eli were only interested for the first 10 minutes, and then they went back to throwing rocks in the river.

Throwing rocks is definitely more fun.
After naps, we all went down to the river where we did a little tubing and just sat around talking. Tommy was nervous around the fast moving water and the cold factor, but he did enjoy shooting his water gun that daddy got for him.

Someone chillaxing
We prepared dinner that night, ribs and potatoes and after giving the kids baths, we all sat around the fire again.
Two cuties!
We were up early on Monday morning and got on the road around 9:00.
We had a lot of fun hanging out at the river and the time went by so fast. We are looking forward to more family trips in the future.
We had so much fun! I hope we can do this again in the (near) future!
