Entry Way & Dining Room

Just for my reference, I like to see the changes we've made to our house since moving in last November (technically late October).

Tom and I have accomplished a lot and I like comparing the before and after. As of now, I feel like we have 2 more areas finished and wanted to document it.

I loved our entry way table decor at out old house, but felt like I needed to update it (you know - new house, new decor - ha).

One of the other rooms that we didn't need to do much to was the dining room. The only things we did was add Roman Shades to the 3 windows in the room and buy a large rug. All of our furniture from the old house fit perfectly and looks great in that space.

August Visit to TX

The last weekend in August, the kids and I traveled to Texas for a birthday party and a baby shower. Tom stayed home and painted our guest room and played a lot of golf.

After a pretty long delay, we made it to Texas Friday evening (around 6:30) and my dad took us to do a little shopping.

Saturday morning. we headed to Texarkana for Kylee's 3rd Birthday party at a bounce house place. Tommy and Kylee had fun running around together. Grace pretty much stayed with the adults the whole time - around the end of the party she broke out of her shell a little bit and played with some bouncy balls. I will admit, Kimmy and I did have fun jumping on the trampoline with the kids. :)

After the party, we made a pit stop at my parents house to change clothes for my cousin Christina's baby shower. It was a good shower and she received a lot of nice things. Oh - and she asked if Tom and I would be the godparents (of course we said yes!).

Sunday, we headed back to Dallas in the afternoon and stayed at a hotel close to the airport since we had an 8:00 flight. Tommy and Grandpa had fun playing in the pool and Grace enjoyed putting her feet in the water.

Florida Beach Trip 2013

In mid-August, we met up with everyone for our annual beach trip. We left Thursday night and stayed the night in a hotel (Grace and Tommy requested it), stayed Friday with Christine and Eddie and finally made it to the beach Saturday afternoon.

We spent most of the week outside at the beach or at the pool with the kids. Thank goodness they both played in the sand this year! :) Tommy was brave and went in the ocean/lake and played in the pool a lot. Grace just liked to play in the sand and stick her feet in the pool.
